My name is Bryanna! I’m a 21 year old nursing student who has a passion for health & wellness.

In 2015, as I battled a long-standing eating disorder, I was diagnosed with femoroacetabular impingement, a condition of the hip joints where the pelvis/femur are abnormally shaped and lead to the tearing of joint cartilage. My case was so bad that I went from obtaining my yoga teacher certification & heading to nursing school to barely being able to walk & being put on bed rest. Within months of my diagnosis, I received two corrective hip surgeries.

After my first surgery, I stumbled upon Whole 30. My body had been through so much. I felt sick all the time and was incredibly weak, plus my spirit was broken. My eating disorder was running rampant due to how stressed I was. I felt mentally and physically drained. I decided to give Whole 30 a shot as a way to feel good again, and my life completely changed.

I was nourishing myself and my body was reaping the benefits. Eating clean & enough enabled me to begin my recovery and regain my health. Along the way, I found a way of cooking that works for me: simple & delicious. On this blog, you’ll find the recipes that have facilitated my recovery from anorexia + femoroacetabular impingement and that are staples in my meal plans. I’m so excited to share them with you so that you might make them a part of your health journey, too!
